“Peer Gynt” is an investigative play that allows the audience to witness the dissection of a man in order to discover “the organ of imagination”.
Peer Gynt’s journey poses the main question of our existence – what is our place and our meaning in the world? What does it mean to be you? It is especially relevant today, in the era of expanding opportunities – the disappearance of barriers for travelling, communicating and self-fulfillment – not just physical, but also virtual. At the intersection of these spaces, you’ll find the contemporary man. Henrik Ibsen helps us see the beacons that will not allow us to drown, or dissolve, or maybe even lose oneself in this boundless sea of human fantasy, which can be very scary at times.
